Your recording never leaves this computer.
Free transcription that runs on your own machine. Nothing uploaded, nothing installed, no account.
Content-Security-Policy: connect-src 'self'
The tool ships with that header on every page. Your browser reads it and blocks the upload. Press F12 and check before you trust us.
What it's like
Drag in an mp3, wav, m4a, ogg, flac or webm. Text starts showing up in about fifteen seconds, timestamped, and pressing a line jumps the audio there.
When it's done you also get the transcript's most distinctive lines pulled out word for word, and — if your browser carries its own language model — a written summary of decisions and to-dos, labelled as generated text and checked against your transcript. Export as text, Markdown, SRT, VTT or JSON. No watermark, no export behind a paywall.
How accurate it is
On real, overlapping meeting audio we measured 27.4% word error rate — most of it words nobody could have caught, because two people were talking at once. About 87% of what lands on the page matches the human transcript, and one person near a microphone does considerably better. Every number, including the ones that don't flatter us
What it costs you
Your machine does the work instead of ours, so it takes longer than a cloud service and wants more memory. That's the trade: their speed, for keeping the recording to yourself. Every figure is published here.
