Your ICF transcript, without uploading the session.

Your client trusted you with that conversation. Ratproof turns the recording into a Word transcript on your own computer, with Coach and Client on separate lines and a time at every change. Nothing is uploaded.

What the ICF asks for

From the ICF's Performance Evaluations page, the transcript must:

  • Be created as a Word document (.doc or .docx). Other formats will not be accepted.
  • Be a word-for-word (verbatim) record of the session.
  • Indicate the speaker (coach or client) for each statement.
  • List the coach’s statements and the client’s statements on separate lines of the transcript.
  • Include timestamps for every change in speaker (coach and client).

The recording must be a full, unedited session of 20 to 60 minutes, and you need your client's written permission before you record.

How to make it

  1. Open Ratproof in Chrome or Edge and drop in the recording. If the session was not in English, change the language first.
  2. When the text is done, press Label speakers.
  3. Click rename beside each speaker and call them Coach and Client.
  4. Check every line against the recording: click a line to hear it, and use Edit to correct it. Speech models can leave out filler words such as "um" and repeated words. The ICF asks for word-for-word, so add them where you hear them.
  5. Press Export, then Word. Each statement is on its own line, starting with its time and speaker.

What it costs

Transcription is free and unlimited, with no account.

Speaker labels on the whole session are free until 10 November. After that, the first 10 minutes of each recording stay free, and Ratproof Pro ($9.99 a month) labels the whole session.

Make your transcript Nothing to install. Sessions in English, Spanish, Italian or Swedish.

Questions

What transcript does the ICF want with a recording?

A Word document (.doc or .docx) that is a word-for-word record of the session, names the speaker (coach or client) for each statement, puts their statements on separate lines, and has a time at every change of speaker.

Is my client's session uploaded?

No. Ratproof turns the recording into text inside your browser, on your own computer. The session never reaches us or anyone else.

Does the ICF accept AI-made transcripts?

The ICF's page suggests finding a transcription tool, and says nothing about AI. Whatever tool you use, the transcript you submit is yours, so check every line against the recording.

Can I make the transcript in another language?

Yes, if the session was in Spanish, Italian or Swedish. Choose that language before you transcribe, and the transcript is written in it, as the ICF asks.
