Does Rev train AI on my recordings?
Its terms (October 2026) say content sent to its speech-to-text services may be used for continuous training of Rev's own speech models, and not for generative AI. Since a change to its terms in September 2023, Rev has said it uses data perpetually to train its own AI.
Do people listen to my audio on Rev?
With human transcription, yes: Rev uses freelance transcriptionists, who are vetted and sign NDAs. Its AI transcription runs on Rev's servers.
How much is Rev?
AI transcription is $0.25 a minute, and human transcription $1.99 a minute. Plans start at $29.99 a month. The free plan has 45 AI minutes a month, English only (October 2026). Ratproof has no limit on free transcription.
Is Rev more accurate than Ratproof?
For hard audio, Rev's human service is the safer choice: it guarantees 99%+. Ratproof is AI only, so check names and numbers against the audio. Each line plays from the moment it was said.
